It has been literally forever since I had the chance to sit down and update everyone on Christopher’s activities… after our vacation, things got a little bit out of control, we all came down with a bad cold, sinus infection and all that stuff… Christopher had a cough for about 3 weeks, fever for a couple of days and he just wasn’t himself. That required extra attention from his sick Mommy… and once we thought we were done with that, Daddy got sick… 
It seems we are done with that, at least it was that way until yesterday when Christopher started having a runny nose… :S I keep telling myself it is ok and that there is no point on trying to find the “origin” of this cold, but it is so hard to see him having a hard time falling asleep or playing while dripping snot on everything…
One of the big news is that we are going to Lima; we will be leaving mid January and coming back at the beginning of February… I couldn’t be more excited to see my parents again and to be able to spend time with Grandma… Christopher has grown so much since they last saw him, they all will be amazed! Especially with the way he talks… he is like a little parrot now, he talks, asks questions, demands things and comes up with the most amazing ways to verbalize his feelings and opinions…
Just yesterday night, I was in the bedroom and he came in asking “Mom, where did my “tool” go?”… I honestly thought he was saying “tools”, (with the tens of tools he has, it seemed hard to believe that he couldn’t find one) well, I told him to look for some in the living room with the rest of his toys… he started getting frustrated and kept saying “tool mommy, tool”… and I kept saying, “go look in the living room”… then he found a box and said “look mom” and stepped up on the box, stretched his hands up and said “see? Go high up, tool”… then I got it!!! He was saying “stool”… I was amazed by how he thought of the way to tell me what he needed… I couldn’t help it; I started tearing up by seeing how much he has grown!!

Hoy partimos con rumbo a Seattle, Washington… el plan es quedarnos por ahi un par de dias, si por ahi nos animamos, nos quedaremos un dia mas, veremos como van las cosas.
Nos despertamos tempranito, a empacar y poner todo lo necesario en el carro… salimos de la casa como a eso de las 8am… a tomar cafecito y leche, comer un pastelito y enrrumbamos! Son las 11.30am y todavia estamos en la carretera, Christopher se quedo dormido… despues de tanto lucharla, se dio por vencido… abrazado de su oso y con su colchita favorita…
Tenemos calculado llegar a Seattle a eso de la 12.30pm… dependiendo del trafico en la ciudad, almorzaremos y luego descansaremos un rato en el hotel, para luego caminar por la ciudad y aprovechar que no esta lloviendo, algo nublado, pero felizmente no hay senal de gotas de agua. Manana por la manana, saldremos al acuario a ver si encontramos a Nemo, visitar el “Mercado” y seguir conociendo la ciudad.

We are on the road…
We are on our way to Seattle, Washington… the plan is to stay there for one night although we are tempted to stay one more night if possible… it all depends on how things go.
We woke up early morning, packed everything in the car and left home around 8am… got coffee and milk, some pastries and the trip started! It is 11.30am and we are still on the road, Christopher fought falling asleep… but now, he is cuddling with his little buddies, and his favorite blanket…
It seems we will be in Seattle around 12.30pm, depending on traffic in the city, we will get lunch, check in the hotel and rest for a little bit. Maybe walk around downtown… we have to take advantage of the non-rainy day in town!! It is cloudy, but so far, no signs of rain!! Tomorrow, we have planned to go to the aquarium to see if we can find “Nemo” and visit the Market…
